The Problem
Why This Matters
Without paved roads, villages become islands during monsoon — ambulances can't reach patients, children can't reach schools, and farmers can't transport produce to markets (resulting in 30-40% crop wastage). Open defecation has decreased after Swachh Bharat but 40% of constructed toilets in rural UP are not functional due to poor construction quality, lack of water connection, or full septic tanks.
Economic opportunities are minimal: 85% of rural employment is in agriculture (seasonal and weather-dependent), average farm income is ₹27/day (NABARD survey). Youth are migrating to cities in droves — 20% of rural UP households have at least one migrant worker. Villages are becoming communities of elderly, women, and children without adequate services or infrastructure.
This is not a statistics problem — it's real people, real families, suffering every single day in our own communities.
Government Initiatives
Government Efforts
What's Being Done — and What's Missing
While the government has launched several important schemes and policies, the gap between policy and implementation remains wide. Bureaucratic delays, low awareness, corruption, and poor infrastructure mean that benefits often don't reach the people who need them most.
We bridge the gap between government schemes and the people who need them — through direct service delivery, awareness, and hand-holding support.
Your Donation's Impact
How Your Money Helps
• **₹2,000** constructs one individual household toilet with water connection
• **₹5,000** installs one solar street light illuminating a village lane (making it safe for women at night)
• **₹15,000** builds a community drainage system for a village lane (preventing waterlogging and disease)
• **₹50,000** constructs a village community centre/skill centre
We work with village panchayats to identify and address critical infrastructure gaps. Our projects include community toilet blocks, drainage systems, road repairs, solar street lighting, and community centres. We also establish village-level skill development centres offering computer literacy, sewing, and agricultural training. Every project involves community labor participation (50% local input) ensuring ownership and maintenance.
Every donation is tracked, reported, and accounted for. You'll receive photo updates and utilization reports.
